Evergreen Cemetery was the resting place for the families of most of the locals. It was several acres wide and often forgotten by the caretaker. Some of these graves were a couple hundred years old. Even for a cemetery, it was in poor shape. Bits of torn paper littered the grounds and many headstones had moss covering them. It was all the charm and décor that a cemetery was supposed to offer. It hadn’t let me down.

As I continued, my guard was up and my senses were on red alert. I was looking for anything to jump out at me and attempt to devour me whole, especially the enormous wolf that I had been tracking. He had to be near. Off in the distance, I saw a large concrete building. The huge stone door was slightly open. It was a crypt.

Who this crypt was built for, I do not know. It was probably designed for some important person in the town like a politician or the caretaker of the cemetery who obviously hadn’t been doing his job lately. A feeling inside was pulling me towards that very stone structure. I was breaking out in a sweat just being near this thing. I could feel the hives on my arms. However, I would not turn back. Something told me that’s where I needed to be, so that’s where I would be. I would do anything if it meant getting Carmen back alive.
